چکیده

A tsunami is a natural disaster that destroys structures and kills many lives in countries the world. risk assessment of building under loading thus essential to evaluate damage minimize potential loss. crucial tool fragility curve. Most curves for force were developed using survey damaged data. This research proposed method developing based on analytical model In development, generic was one-story reinforced-concrete with masonry-infilled walls constructed from structural index, popularly built as residential buildings along west coast southern Thailand. Three levels investigated: masonry infill walls, primary structures, collapses. The wall modeled multisprings represent load-bearing behavior due hydrodynamic pattern. maximum likelihood considering uncertainty type, flow direction, velocity. curve agrees well empirical data Thailand 2004 Tsunami. functions could be adopted assessing mitigation similar against different scenarios future.

Fragility Curves for Reinforced Concrete Frames with Lap-Spliced Columns

Placing column lap-splice in the locations of possible nonlinear deformation may adversely affect the structures response to strong ground motions. Localization of damage in splice zone may change the structural response and prevent the load redistribution and development of a uniform pattern of nonlinear excursions among the various members. Validated by existing laboratory experiments, this s...

Assessment of Masonry Infilled Reinforced-concrete Frames with Openings

Original scientific paper Reinforced-concrete (R/C) frames infilled with masonry wall, especially with the presence of an opening, are insufficiently explored structural elements. We have experimentally investigated influence of the opening’s type and position to the lateral response of reinforced-concrete frames with masonry infill. Correction factors, that take into account influence of the o...

Seismic Performance of Reinforced Concrete Frames Infilled by Masonry Walls with Different Heights

This study carried out comparative seismic performance of reinforced concrete frames infilled by masonry walls with different heights. Partial and fully infilled reinforced concrete frames were modeled for the research objectives and the analysis model for a bare reinforced concrete frame was also established for comparison. Non–linear static analyses for the studied frames were performed to in...

experimental investigation of masonry infilled reinforced concrete frame

an experimental study is conducted on three ½ scales, single-story, single-bay, frame specimens. the first specimen was a reinforced concrete frame with solid-brick infill. the second specimen was a reinforced concrete frame with hollow clay perforated-brick infill. the last specimen was a reinforced concrete frame without any infill. these three specimens were tested by pseudostatic method. di...

Pushover Analysis of Masonry Infilled Reinforced Concrete Frames for Performance Based Design for Near Field Earthquakes

Non-linear dynamic time history analysis is considered as the most advanced and comprehensive analytical method for evaluating the seismic response and performance of multi-degree-of-freedom building structures under the influence of earthquake ground motions. However, effective and accurate application of the method requires the implementation of advanced hysteretic constitutive models of the ...
